Paige Christofferson | Financial Professional

Paige continues her father’s legacy having a dual role as a Financial Professional and is Chief Business Development Officer for Berthel Fisher Companies. She got her start in the insurance industry in Des Moines, Iowa, and moved to Cedar Rapids in 2008. She is active with helping families put together holistic financial plans to assist them with accomplishing their goals. She believes all financial plans involve three buckets, including needs for today, preparing for income needs in retirement, and designing ways to meet your family’s protection needs.

    Paige attended the University of Iowa where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and an International Business Certificate with a minor in Spanish.  She holds FINRA securities licenses 7, 24, 63, 65, as well as her insurance licenses.


    Paige believes in giving back to the community.  In 2016 she ran for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society’s Woman of the Year, honoring a friend and the memory of her late aunt.  She chaired the March of Dimes walk, and previously served on the board of the Young Parent’s Network (YPN) in Cedar Rapids. She leads charitable giving and philanthropy for Berthel Fisher Companies.  Paige and the Firm have an active role in participating and donating to Junior Achievement, an important organization teaching our young people financial literacy.


    In 2017, she was nominated and honored with receiving the Corridor Business Journals’ 40 under 40 award.  She currently chairs the Berthel Fisher R.I.S.E. Women’s Advisor council and is a member in Women in Insurance and Financial Services.


    Outside of the office, Paige enjoys spending time with her three daughters on the track, the basketball court, dance floor and at the softball diamond.  She also loves Pilates and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes!

Tom Berthel | Founder and Investment Executive

Tom has guided clients with their investments throughout the 45 years he has been in the securities industry. He has been an active Financial Professional during his tenure as the Founder, CEO, President, and Chairman of the board at Berthel Fisher Companies.

 

Tom received his Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Ambrose University and his MBA from the University of Iowa. He holds numerous FINRA securities and insurance licenses.

    As a nationally-respected business leader, he has served on multiple boards. Currently, he is serving on the board at his alma mater, St. Ambrose University.  He is active throughout the community working with various charities.  He is involved with the Financial Services Institute, an organization serving independent broker dealers.


    Tom has worked with clients from all walks of life over the years, taking pride in helping people set themselves and their family up to address their specific financial situation.  He specializes in high-net-worth cases due to his long experience with estate planning and Charitable Trusts, working with accountants and attorneys to assist with the long-term plan.  


    Tom is also the author of the book “Beyond X’s and O’s” which he wrote with the late former Iowa football coach, Hayden Fry.  Outside of the office he enjoys time spent with his children and grandchildren, remains passionately involved in the political process and playing golf. 

Amanda Bair | Internal Financial Professional Coordinator

Amanda brings 23 years of experience in commercial equipment finance and joined Berthel in October 2025. She’s currently working toward earning her FINRA securities licenses and is excited to continue growing in her field.


She also has a big heart for giving back. Amanda has volunteered with the VITA program through United Way of East Central Iowa for the past seven tax seasons and has supported a variety of other nonprofit organizations along the way.



Outside the office, Amanda enjoys getting lost in a good book, cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, camping, and spending quality time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
